Ariana and Ryan

We had an amazingly perfect August day for Ariana and Ryan’s wedding at the Carriage House in Galloway.  Now, I always say that the Carriage House balcony is one of my favorite spots in all of South Jersey.  And I always say that I could shoot up there all day.  Well, this journal entry is ALL about that balcony and its great light!

Before we got started outside, I began with a few photographs in the big and bright bride and groom parlors, beautiful spaces for some wedding day details.  Ariana and Ryan had chosen to stay traditional by not seeing each other prior to their wedding vows, but honestly, this is never a problem with a venue like this, and with a little bit of additional time.  While the ladies are getting ready upstairs, the guys are able to head downstairs and out onto the wide front porch for their photo session.

Our day didn’t disappoint!  We had brilliant light in every direction, we had a cool breeze lightly blowing, we had a stunning bride and a handsome, beaming groom.  The timing of the day worked out just right, where we had plenty of time for family photos after the ceremony, and THE MOST perfect backlighting for Ariana and Ryan’s private photo session.  They are an amazing couple together!

Their day didn’t end there, and neither did mine, as they had reserved one of my full-day sessions, but hey, this post is all about that light!  That light up on that balcony in Galloway - that place where I could photograph all day!  Congratulations Ariana and Ryan!
